Out-of-print books are harder to stock than new books, and some are hard to find, period. If the title you are seeking is not listed for sale above, that probably means that I am currently out of stock. However, I am always on the lookout for books, and will gladly quote you when I do find your coveted book. To add your name to my Wants Files, simply fill out a Book Request Form and I will e-mail you when I have a copy in stock. Thanks. |
| I remember owning two books by Gyo
Fujikawa.
One, I believe, was a Mother Goose or nursery rhmye book, and I can't
for
the life of me remember the other one, except I seem to recall there
were
a couple of pages that had something to do with "what do I want to be
when
I grow up"... other than that, I'm not sure.
I'm looking for the 1979 printing of this book. If you are able to find this book - you are truly a saint! I've been looking all over the net and I can't find it Good luck and THANK YOU!!!! I would like to find any of the Fujikawa books. My 17-year-old son looked at them endlessly as a baby. I have been unable to find any copies anywhere. I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks so much. I would like the original version 1968 if possible. My brother was given The Night Before Christmas when he was little, now he has a daughter of his own and I would like to give her a copy. I am hoping you can help me find it. Thanks I received The Night Before Christmas. It's a real beauty. Thanks again. Let me know if any others come thru. Hope you had a grand vacation. I am a huge fan of all her work, and am doing a college project on her. My problem is that I would love to include a photo of her. Anybody know where I can find one?? I still have the book, Oh What a Busy Day, given to me for 'good attendance' at Sunday School back in 1978. I can remember each verse off by heart and will save it for the day when/if I ever have children. I would ideally love another copy. Any avaliable? The Gyo Fujikawa book that has the "what I want to do when I grow up" is Oh What a Busy Day. Her best book in my opinion. I wish they would republish it. I loved that book as much as my children did! We still treasure our copy. I am searching for a book that I believe Gyo Fujikawa illustrated, not sure if she was the author. I think the title was something like...Day of the Wind, Rain and Snow. I remember phrases like...The day of the wind was the day that Pete set out to catch a fish to eat...(or something close) Help! Betty Bear's Birthday. Now that my older sister and I have grown up, and she is the first to have a child, she wants our copy of Betty Bear's Birthday to read to her new son--but we're still sorting out to whom the book really belongs now that we both know it's out of print! |
I would like to thank you for getting
back to
me. I have a 1972 version of this book that I received from my paternal
grandparents when I was two years old. My mom has been talking about
trying
to find the book so she could have a copy, and I finally decided to
look
for it. So, I am very pleased that I was able to find your website.
I loved this book as a child, and I have an old copy of it, but would like to have another for my new baby girl to cherish the way I have mine... I used to keep a supply of the Fujikawa Child's garden of verses to use for baby gifts. Now there is a new generation of kids and this edition is out of print. I think this was the best one ever done, especially for boys, and am still mourning its demise. Clement C. Moore's The Night Before Christmas with pictures by Gyo Fujikawa: This book was a tradition in our house and I would like to start the same tradition in my home. I would appreciate any information as to where I might find this book. Thanks for your help. I am searching for a children's
book. It
is a white, large book, with a picture of a dragon on the cover.
It contains the stories of Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, The
Princess and the Pea, Rumplestiltskin, Henny Penny, Hansel and
Gretel,
and many more. I read this book as a child (I was born in
1967).
The last time I saw a copy of this book for sale was in 1986 in a
novelty
shop. Should have picked it up then! GOOD NEWS for GYO FUJIKAWA fans. Oh What a Busy Day is now available again. Published by Backpack Books which is a dicision of Michael Friedman Publishing Group. It has a different cover from the original but all the stuff inside is the same. What a treasure! Gyo Fujikawa, Baby Animals. I still have Baby Animals by Gyo Fujikawa. I can't remember the first time I read it, but 35 years later, I am reading the same book to my 15 month old son, remembering all of my joy wonderment from the beautiful illustrations. I can't wait to order more to share with him. |
